Police Briefs – June 8, 2017

A 35-year-old Windsor woman is facing numerous fraud and theft charges after two vehicles were stolen in the city’s east end.

Police say a vehicle, left unlocked, had been taken from the driveway of a home back on April 24.

In that case, the victim had also left her purse in the car, and credit cards were used illegally to purchase a number of items.

Officers then investigated a similar incident on May 18, where another vehicle left unlocked had been stolen from a driveway, along with the victim’s wallet.

Police were eventually able to identify a suspect and on Wednesday, they located her on Reginald St. near Ford Blvd., and placed her under arrest.
