A 21-year-old from the Toronto area is in Windsor police custody after jewelry theft at the Devonshire Mall.

Back on February 8, investigators say a man was looking at a boxed ring set and ended up handing back the box with no ring inside.

Then on March 13, a jewelry store in the GTA spotted a man matching the description of the suspect in the Windsor robbery, and called police.

Toronto police officers were able to track the suspect and arrested him on Monday. He was then transported to Windsor and is now charged with theft over $5,000.
