Police Briefs – April 3, 2017

A Windsor woman has been charged after she was allegedly caught driving four times over the legal alcohol limit.

Officers say on Sunday just before 11pm, at St. Rose Ave. and Wyandotte St. E., a vehicle was rear-ended so hard that it hit another vehicle in front of it.

The suspected vehicle then took off, even though it had significant damage to its front end, and came to a stop in a nearby parking lot.

A 41-year-old Windsor woman was arrested at the scene. She has been charged with exceeding the legal limit of blood alcohol concentration and failing to remain at the scene of a collision. The woman has been released with a future court date.
