Police Briefs- March 24, 2017

The Windsor Police Service and Tecumseh OPP worked together to arrest a Windsor couple who allegedly commercial break-ins on the east side of Windsor.

In the early morning of March 23, 2017 the Windsor Police Service Property Crime Branch followed a potential male suspect in a van to the eastern boundary of Windsor. The van parked near a commercial plaza at Lesperance Rd. and the E.C. Row in Tecumseh.

The OPP were notified and Windsor police set up a perimeter around the plaza. Officers then observed the man run from the plaza carrying a cash register tray and into the parked van. The cash register tray came from the Tecumseh Pizzeria.

The man and a female passenger in the van were arrested without incident. The man was charged with break and enter, possession of break-in instruments and taking a motor vehicle without consent.

A Windsor woman was also charged with break and enter and being a passenger of a stolen vehicle.
