A Windsor man is facing multiple charges after allegedly breaking into multiple residences on Tuesday.

Windsor police say the 24-year-old is suspected to be involved in a break and enter on Giles Blvd. W where he was confronted by the homeowner, who was known to him. The suspect fled and was later seen allegedly smashing a car window.

Later in the evening, someone matching the suspect’s description entered a home on Church St. and demanded car keys from the homeowner. The homeowner advised that she didn’t have a vehicle and the individual fled the residence.

He then attended a neighbour’s house where allegedly he smashed a window to gain entry into the house. He was confronted by the homeowner and there was an altercation. The suspect then fled the scene. Police were unable to locate him at that time.

Windsor police were able to catch up with the suspect after a E911 Communicator observed him, while they were coming home from the night shift. The suspect was arrested on Ouellette Ave.

He is charged with three counts of break and enter, two counts of mischief, robbery, assault with a weapon and two counts of possession of stolen property.
