Police Briefs – Monday, December 5 2016

A 33-year-old Windsor man is charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and exceeding the legal limit after a single-vehicle crash.

The Ontario Provincial Police were called to the crash near the intersection of Hwy. 3 and Hwy. 77 in Leamington, at 3:20am Sunday.

A car rolled, ending up on its roof in the ditch, but the lone male driver was able to walk away with only minor injuries.

Officers noticed he appeared impaired, so he was arrested.

A 34-year-old Leamington man is facing impaired driving charges after an incident Saturday night.

The OPP says a driver called to report an erratic driver on County Rd. 18, around 8:20pm.

When the suspect’s red Dodge van stopped in a parking lot on the 4th Concession, the driver who had called the police was able to block it in until officers arrived.

The man was then arrested and charged.
