Death Investigation Leads To Manslaughter ChargeMarch 13, 2018 6:37pm
One person is facing a manslaughter charge in connection with a death that was originally believed to have been an accidental overdose.
Police officials have not released much information at this time, but say officers were called to investigate a sudden death in Sarnia on August 9, 2017, that was believed to have been caused by an accidental overdose.
Then on August 11, 2017, officers executed a search warrant on Devine St. near Canterbury Crt. before arresting a female suspect who was charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a controlled substance.
On Tuesday, Sarnia police officials now say they have arrested “a party” for manslaughter in connection with the death on August 9, 2017.
Police are not releasing any further information about the suspect or the circumstances of the death at this time.
