St. Thomas police arrested a man for driving while impaired.
Police say a car was stopped early Saturday morning and it was determined that the driver of the vehicle had been consuming alcohol.
According to police, the driver failed the roadside breathalyzer test and was taken to the St. Thomas police station for further tests.
The intoxilyzer test determined that the driver had more than twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system.
A 28-year-old man was charged with having over 80mgs of alcohol in his blood. The driver was released with a future court date.
