Sarnia Sting forward Jamieson Rees helped Team Canada improve to 3-0 at the under-18 Hlinka Gretzky Cup.
Rees had an assist, his second of the tournament, in Canada's 4-3 win over Sweden on Wednesday night.
The 17-year-old Sting centre dropped a pass to Josh Williams who then fed Matthew Robertson for the third Canadian goal.
Rees ended up taking what could have been a costly penalty late in the 3rd with Canada up 4-3, but the home-side was able to hold on to win.
The Canadians will now face off against the Americans Friday in the semi-finals.
