Sting Welcome Two New Players Following U-18 Draft

The Sarnia Sting added two new players to their club following Wednesday night's 2nd annual OHL U-18 Priority Selection Draft.

With the team's first pick Sting general manager Nick Sinclair selected defenceman Ethan Allair from the North Bay Trappers Midget AAA program 19th overall.

The 5'10, 170 lbs. offensive-defenceman scored 10 goals and added 21 assists in 31 games this season for North Bay.

The 16-year-old native of Temagami, ON was the second player from the Trappers that was drafted. The North Bay Battalion took Jacob Peterson-Galema 9th overall.

With the 39th pick the Sting selected forward Troy Andrews of the Mississauga Senators.

The 5'5, 146 lbs. Etobicoke native scored 20 goals and had 14 assists this season.

In the inaugural draft last year five players that were taken made their OHL debuts, including Sting defenceman Marko Jakovljevic.

The 17-year-old Jakovljevic had a goal and 4 assists in 27 games with Sarnia this season.
