Sting Hold Off Otters 4-3 for Fifth Straight Win

Hugo Leufvenius scored the go-ahead goal for the Sarnia Sting in their 4-3 win over the Otters in Erie Saturday night.

It's the fifth win in a row for the Sting. The top-ranked team in the CHL now has a 21-4-1 record with 43 points and first place in the OHL West Division.

Erie got on the board first, as Alex Gritz found the net at 12:25 in the first period.

Jordan Ernst tied the game for the Sting soon after the start of the second period, though Erie's Taylor Raddysh gave the Otters the lead again on the power play at 9:10 in the frame. Drake Rymsha knotted the score at 2-2 before the end of the period with his 12th goal of the year.

The Sting never trailed again. Ernst scored his second goal of the game at exactly two minutes in the third period. Raddysh did tie the score for Erie at 16:03, but Leufvenius' game-winner came just 45 seconds later.

Justin Fazio picked up 32 saves for the Sting in goal. Troy Timpano stopped 23 shots between the pipes for Erie.
