The Labour Day Weekend will be a busy one for a handful of local baseball teams with the Ontario Baseball Association's (O.B.A.) eliminations.
Corunna and Courtright host the Senior 'A' eliminations. The Corunna Giants open the tournament against Oakridge Friday evening at 6pm, with the Cardinals set to host Creemore in their opener at 9pm. The finals of the double elimination tournament is set for Sunday.
The Senior 'C' are eliminations out in Forest, and includes the hometown Forest Dragons, as well as a pair of Western Counties Baseball League rivals with Dresden Bulls and Petrolia Raiders. All three teams open play Friday, with the Dragons hosting Thorold, the Bulls taking on Simcoe and the Raiders playing Port Dover.
