Sting Players Invited To Hockey Canada Camps

Some members of the Sarnia Sting will be wearing red and white this summer as they've been invited to Hockey Canada evaluation Camps.

Jordan Kyrou will be at the World Junior Showcase in Plymouth, Michigan. Kyrou had 30 goals and 94 points in 66 games last season for the Sting, he also got his first taste of pro hockey, suiting up for the AHL's Chicago Wolves after his Sting season came to an end. The Wolves are the AHL affiliate of the St. Louis Blues, who selected Kyrou in the second round of the 2016 draft.

Sting 2017 first rounder Jamieson Rees, along with defenseman Alexandre Hogue and goalie Ethan Langevin, were named to the World Under-17 Development Roster. The invite follows very impressive showings for all three at the OHL Golf Cup.

Grayson Ladd, from Kent Bridge, has also received an invite to camp. He was selected 13th overall by the Kitchener Rangers in the most recent OHL draft.

Former Sting Sasha Chmelevski was named to USA Hockey's World Junior Summer Showcase roster. Evan Barratt also received an invite, he's the son of Sting Assistant Coach Jeff Barratt.
