Otters Eliminate Sting From Playoffs

The Sarnia Sting have been eliminated from the OHL playoffs following a 9-3 loss to the Erie Otters on Wednesday.

The Sting had a rough start to the game with the Otters scoring five back-to-back goals in the first 14 minutes, before Franco Sproviero scored Sarnia's first goal of the night after 18:04.

Ryan McGregor scored for the Sting five minutes in the second and Jaden Lindo added a goal early in the third to bring the score to 5-3. However, the Otters surged again in the final frame to score another four goals to ensure their victory.

Sarnia goaltender Justin Fazio made 34 saves out of 43 shots on net.

The Otters swept the Sting 4-0 in the best-of-seven playoff series.
