Jake's Junior Hockey Wrap Up

The Sarnia Legionnaires are back to .500 hockey following a 5-2 loss to St Mary's Thursday night at Sarnia Arena. Tied at two early in the third period, the Lincolns scored three unanswered goals to secure the victory. Left winger Curtis Egert made his Legionnaires debut after being sent back to the GOJHL from the Sarnia Sting. Lambton Shores are in St Thomas tonight before hosting the Legionaires Saturday. -- Elsewhere in GOJHL from Thursday night. Nolan Vanenboorn completed the hat trick in overtime as Chatham topped Leamington 5-4. After a 1-3 start to the season the Maroons have rallied off nine straight wins. With their goalie pulled late for an extra attacker, the Flyers tied the game with 15 seconds left in regular. -- The Petrolia Flyers got three third period goals to, and pushed the leagues top team to overtime, but eventually lost to front running Blenheim 4-3 Kole Keating scored twice while Kirklin Dorman added the other for Petrolia. Mooretown is in Dresden Friday night.

Shifting to Senior 'AA' hockey, a two game weekend for the Petrolia Squires.

The Squires host Mooretown Friday night before a road game against Huron East Saturday night.
