Margaret Purdy of Strathroy, and Michael Marinaro of Sarnia, won the silver medal in pairs on Thursday at the world junior figure skating championships in Milan Italy.

The U.S. took the gold.

Purdy and Marinaro’s routine to “The Artist” was highlighted by a triple toe-double toe combination, double Axel, throw triple Salchow and level-four lifts and spins.

Camilo Villegas was setting up for a wedge shot, instead he needed just a short putt.

Villegas drilled a three-wood from 263 yards over the water to about eight feet for an eagle on the par-5 18th hole to take the opening round lead at the Honda Classic. He’s at 6-under 64.
