Jewellery thief hits Enniskillen home

Lambton OPP have released surveillance photos hoping to catch a suspected jewellery thief.

Officers were called to a home on South Plank Road in Enniskillen Township to investigate a break, enter and theft around 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Cst. Chris Doupe said their investigation revealed that a suspect entered the home through an attached garage around 11 a.m. and removed several pieces of jewellery and $500 in cash from the master bedroom.

The suspect is described as a thin, white male, who was wearing dark pants, a red and blue t-shirt, black baseball cap, yellow gloves, camouflage hunting boots and carrying a large shopping bag at the time.

Doupe said the image, captured on video, also suggests the suspect may have had an unkempt beard or moustache.

Anyone with knowledge of the incident, or who can help police identify the suspect, is asked to call Lambton OPP at 519-882-1011 or Sarnia-Lambton Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
