Heather Taylor has a company called "After A Loss" -- which helps families that are newly bereaved by providing services and support.

Over the years, she says, she's repeatedly heard from clients that they have no way to symbolize that they're coping with a loss.

"I was doing a suicide loss support group and a lot of the bereaved moms in the group had said that they just wished there was something that they could wear, or would show people on the outside that they were broken hearted -- without having to say words," says Taylor.

So, she decided to do something about it.

"A couple of my friends and I, we got talking about it, and said wouldn't it be nice if we actually had a pin that stated what it is that person's experiencing, which was grieving."

She says they initially ordered 100 pins and they were gone within the first 12 hours.

Taylor says she's reached out to area funeral homes and the idea has been very well received.
