Tattoo Expo Looking To Leave Its Mark

The first ever tattoo expo in Sarnia is on this weekend.

About 100 artists from Canada, the US, Thailand, Greece, Columbia and Italy will be on hand at Tatts at the Bridge.

Organizer Jeff Robinson says for those not looking to get some new ink, there will be music, vendors and demonstrations taking place throughout the weekend.

Robinson says awards will be handed out as well.

"We've got 15 categories that we're doing where the artist will win an award, and the person with the art on them will also win an award," says Robinson. "We have best overall, best black and white, most unusual and there's best local as well to recognize our local artists."

The event continues Saturday from 11am until 11pm, and 11am until 5pm Sunday at the Clearwater Arena.

Day passes are $20 and $55 for a weekend pass.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Canadian Cancer Society.
