Submit Your Accessibility Award Nominations

The City of Sarnia is now accepting nominations for this year's Accessibility Awards.

The city recognizes local businesses and individuals who go above and beyond for those with disabilities.

Categories include Prelude To Excellence for large and small businesses, Exceptional Leadership in Customer Service, Creating Opportunities for an Accessible Community, Going Above and Beyond and Exceptional Accessible Physical Environment.

There's also an award for Outstanding Customer Services in a Social Service Sector.

New this year is the Age-Friendly Award. It recognizes business, organizations and individuals that make the city a better place to live for people of all ages.

The deadline for nominations is September 14, and the awards will be handed out during Sarnia City Council's meeting October 1.

Past recipients include DeGroot's Nurseries, Dan Edwards, Sunripe Fresh Market and Bluewater Health Foundation Executive Director Kathy Alexander.
