Ticket Sales Boost At Borderfest

Bluewater Borderfest saw an overall increase in concert-goers in 2018.

About 7,500 people attended the second annual music festival, surpassing last year's total of 5,000.

Organizer Mark Perrin says they're already looking at ways to improve the event in 2019.

"We're looking at partnering with the City of Sarnia and Tourism Sarnia-Lambton. We still got some details to work out but we're definitely looking to be back," says Perrin. "We're going to take a couple weeks off here, but then we're going to jump right into 2019 and get dates set and start seeing who's touring in the local area."

Perrin says they'll likely be coming back with the same format next year. A night of country, rock and classic rock over three days.

He says about 70% of those in attendance were from out of town.
