Kubota Corporation has received conditional site plan approval for a new facility in Plympton-Wyoming.
A building of unspecified size will be located in the Hwy. 402/Oil Heritage Rd. area near the municipal works garage across from the truck stop near Reeces Corners.
Plympton-Wyoming Chief Administrative Officer Carolyn Tripp says the company plans to lease a seven acre parcel of land.
"Kubota is pulling their units out of local dealerships across the province and having their own dealership for their products," says Tripp. "Any dealership you see in the area that sells Kubota right now will no longer be selling it. All their product will be going to that main dealership and they'll have to sell other makes and models."
A construction timeline isn't known yet.
Kubota has yet to take out a final building permit.
