Sarnia Police Tracking Down Missing People With Limited Information

Sarnia police say the public is a great resource in helping locate missing persons but sometimes a lack of basic information makes it difficult.

The police service received reports of three missing people within a period of about 14 hours.

Constable John Sottosanti says they can't pass on information they don't have.

"We just want people to know that we are trying our best, but we can only work with the tools we are given," says Sottosanti. "If you ever have to report someone missing, try to get as much information, have a photo handy, that will make things a lot easier for us to put out the report, and for people to be aware of who this individual is."

Police were not given photos to distribute in any of the three most recent missing person reports.

Even so, as of early Wednesday afternoon, two of the three had been located.

Police reported at about 2pm that 15-year-old Joseph (Joey) James Coleman was found safe and sound.

A 14-year-old girl, the subject of a public alert Tuesday night, was also found.

Police continue to look for 31-year-old Danya Davidson of no fixed address, to check on her wellbeing. It's believed she may have visited the Wallaceburg area.

Anyone with information as to her whereabouts is asked to contact the Sarnia Police Service at 519-344-8861 ext. 0.
