Thousands To Enjoy Breakfast & Boats Under The Bridge

Flapjacks and sausages will kick off the Mackinac Boat Race once again this year.

The Rotary Club's annual pancake breakfast goes this Saturday from 7am to 1 1am under the Blue Water Bridge.

It's $6 per plate and only $4 for kids 10 and under.

Spokesperson Mike Elliott says the breakfast supports local initiatives around Sarnia-Lambton.

"I think last year we made about $10,000, so it's a lot of work and we have about 50 volunteers who come out," says Elliott. "We don't have any immediate plans for the money raised, but we always use it to support things like Pathways or other things that we're doing in the community."

The breakfast comes with three pancakes, sausages and a juice, water or Tim Horton's coffee.

Advanced tickets are available at Pathway's Health Centre for Children, Manley's and Haines Painting.

Elliott is also encouraging people to bike down to the event. He says the Bluewater Trails Committee will have a secure “bike corral” set up for cyclists.
