Sarnia Royal Watchers Eager To Sample A Taste Of Britain

It's been a very busy week for at least one local store in the lead-up to Saturday's Royal wedding.

Karen Tobin, manager of A Taste of Britain, says there was a lineup of people outside their doors on Murphy Rd. Friday morning.

She says souvenirs and particularly a lot of food has been flying off the shelves.

"It's been extremely busy since Monday," says Tobin. "I've gone through an absolute plethora of clotted cream, devon double cream, lemon curds and strawberry jams, it's wonderful."

Tobin says many residents are planning parties to watch Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tie the knot early Saturday morning, our time.

"There's a pile of viewing parties going on Saturday morning with the number of people coming in and what they're doing," says Tobin. "Everybody plans on getting up at four in the morning and getting their fascinators on, there's been quite a few inquiries about fascinators as well."

She says items including Harry and Meghan cups and saucers, and towels were quickly selling out as well. Food at A Taste Of Britain for the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Megan Markle.
