Plympton-Wyoming Mayor Seeking Fourth Term

Lonny Napper is taking another shot at re-election as the mayor of Plympton-Wyoming.

The 76-year-old Napper, who has been mayor of the town for 12 years, has officially filed his paperwork in advance of the October 22 municipal election.

He says growing the municipality and revitalizing the downtown are on the top of his mind.

"I just think I got a lot to offer, there's a lot of things going on here and I'd like to seem them through," says Napper. "I think I've done a good job the last four years and hopefully, I get re-elected again and carry on the way we are."

Napper is one of only two mayors in the town's history.

He spent time on town council and as the deputy mayor before succeeding Pat Davidson in 2006.

Those interested in running for the municipal election have until July 27 to register as a candidate.
