Lambton College has launched a new brand and logo.
The new shield pulls in elements of Sarnia-Lambton landmarks, with shades of blue highlighting water and sky, separated by a white bridge -- a visual representation of the Blue Water Bridge.
President Judith Morris told students, faculty, staff and community members Thursday morning that the abstract design is the result of nearly two years of consultation and research.

"The bridge path also honours our historical journey, the bridge from our path to our present and pays tribute to our former bridge to the future logo," said Morris. "Lastly, the bridge serves as a blueprint to our campus and is meant to portray the main walkway, commonly referred to as our bridge entrance, where students are welcomed into our college every single day."
Morris says it's perfect timing as the college looks to its future and works on its new strategic plan through 2024.
"We have a brand new landscaping plan, a master plan, we're launching all of these buildings and when you're pulling it all together with a brand new strategic plan, we needed a new brand and logo to go with it," she says.
Morris says the new look focuses on four values, which the research revealed as supportive, innovation, energetic and quality.
Lambton College plans to roll out the brand and its components immediately across the campus and will be working with external partners on the transition as well.
