Salmon Derby Report For Day 9

Day 9 of the 2018 Salmon Derby was a very busy day for both the Port Franks and Sarnia weigh stations.

Over 300 fish were entered on the next to last day of the Salmon Derby. There were 192 fish entered at Port Franks and 119 fish entered at Sarnia for a 8 day Salmon Derby total of 1458 fish.

There were no changes to the Leader Board. The current leaders after Day 9 of the 2018 Salmon Derby are:

- Justin Tadgell of Grand Bend in the Lake Trout category with a 26.64 lb. Lake Trout.

- Rick Scott of St. Marys in the Salmon category with a 14.12 lb. Salmon.

- Craig Beaubien of Sarnia in the Trout - Boat category with a  12.42 lb. Rainbow Trout.

- Nick Vallee of Bright's Grove in the Trout - Shore category with a 9.69 lb. Rainbow Trout.

- Ryan Smith of Wyoming in the Walleye category with a 9.60 lb. Walleye.

- Elijah Brown of Petrolia is the Kids Biggest Fish leader with a 15.74 lb. Lake Trout.

The Daily Big Fish winner is Doug Marsh of Watford with a 18.48 lb. Lake Trout.

The Daily Draw Prize winners are ...

- Jim Waybrant of Courtright at the Sarnia weigh station.

- Andrew Faras of London at the Port Franks weigh station.

Sunday, May 6th is the final day of the 2018 Salmon Derby. The Sarnia and Port Franks weigh stations will close at 3:00 PM sharp. You must be in line before 3:00 PM to have your fish entered.
