House Fire Believed To Be Accidental

Damage is expected to be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars following a house fire Monday morning in Bright's Grove.

A home on Eastfield Close was gutted in a blaze that started at around 10am.

City fire officials say the exact cause remains unknown at this time but the fire is believed to be accidental in nature.

It was a busy start to the week for Sarnia Fire and Rescue.

While firefighters were on scene in Bright's Grove, two other fire-related calls came in.

There was a yard equipment fire with injuries at a home on Woodrow Ave. at 12:24pm, and just minutes later a porch caught fire on Mitton St.

Careless discarding of smoking materials is to blame on Mitton St.
