An idling vehicle seen in a parking lot in the wee hours of the morning Monday resulted in Sarnia police issuing a drug trafficking charge.
Police say an officer checked out a running vehicle near the London Rd. RBC branch and saw a man known to police sleeping inside with a baggie in plain view on the centre console.
A subsequent search allegedly found 12 g of crystal methamphetamine in separate baggies with a street value of $1,200.
The man was arrested and taken to police headquarters.
Blake Nicholas Bennett, 24, of Sarnia is charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and was being held pending a bail hearing.
