Charges Laid In R.I.D.E. Checks

Lambton OPP say their festive R.I.D.E. program so far this year has resulted in 18 charges.

Eight people have been charged with impaired driving and ten others handed three-day licence suspensions in well over 150 checks.

Provincial police have R.I.D.E. checks throughout the year but the initiative is stepped up over the festive holiday season.

A suspected drunk driver was arrested at mid-afternoon in Plympton-Wyoming Wednesday after OPP responded to a complaint.

Police responded to a gas station in the area of Oil Heritage Rd. and London Line and charged a 55-year-old Sarnia man with impaired driving and having open liquor in a vehicle.
