New Record Set At Teddy Bear Toss (VIDEO)

It was raining teddy bears at the Progressive Auto Sales Arena Sunday afternoon.

Curtis Egert notched the Sarnia Sting’s first goal in the annual Teddy Bear Toss game, 16:05 into the first period.

Lambton Ford President Rob Ravensburg says the animals will be distributed to kids in need this Christmas through 15 local charities including the Salvation Army, Pathways Health Centre for Children and the Women’s Interval Home.

“Very happy and pleased to say that we did set a record this year, the goal was to surpass 4,000, we surpassed that,” says Ravensburg.

With this year’s totals close to 60,000 bears have been donated in the 20 year history of the event.
