A group of local video gamers is locking themselves inside Lambton Mall for 24 hours for charity.
The event "Playing For Charity", now into its third year, is hoping to raise $3,000 for St. Clair Child and Youth.
A makeshift livingroom, provided by Tepperman's, will be setup in the mall from 2pm Friday until 2pm Saturday.
Organizer and K106.3 Morning Show Host Max Major says they'll also be broadcasting live on www.twitch.com.
He says they've received support from around the globe.
"We've been talking to people from Australia, Germany, England, and parts of the US," says Major. "When it's the wee hours of the morning and we're still gaming into the night trying to raise that money, it's the international community that's kind of neat to talk to. They keep you awake in those overnight hours."
Major says they'll be playing on the PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Super Nintendo Mini.
Since its inception, the event has raised nearly $5,000 for Noelle's Gift, and Big Brothers Big Sisters.
For every $10 donated, you'll get a ballot for a chance to win a SNES Mini.
