Rotary Auction Hits The Airwaves

You'll have a chance to bid on hundreds of items during the Rotary Club of Sarnia's 34th annual TV auction on Sunday, November 19.

Pathways Health Centre For Children Executive Director and Rotarian Jenny Greensmith says Rotary is over halfway toward its $600,000 pledge to the organization.

"Annually, the club does support us with about $54,000," says Greensmith. "It goes toward all of the services that we give here."

"Inn of the Good Shepherd, St. Joseph's Hospice, and Community Living are some of the other organizations that have benefitted over the years. The club also plays its part internationally, with the fight against polio and supporting literacy projects, and promoting peace through Rotary exchanges."

Rotary has recently completed its $1-million pledge to Bluewater Health, which goes toward maternal and infant care.

The auction will be broadcast on YourTV from 2pm until 9pm. You can also bid online at www.rtva.ca.

Winning bidders can pick up their items at the Rotary office at 1210 Michigan Ave.
