Enbridge's installation of a new 70m, 16 inch pipeline on the south side of LaSalle Line should wrap up in the next two weeks or so.

Company spokesman Ken Hall says it will connect the Sarnia Suncor Refinery to the Nova Corunna facility. There are a number of empty storage tanks on site because NOVA has converted to natural gas liquid feedstocks.

"Suncor will make use of that storage which will provide them with the ability to take advantage of market pricing and store oil and bring in additional supplies that will be locally stored," says Hall. "With our pipeline, that we're calling the Petrogas project, that oil will be able to move between the NOVA facility and Suncor."

Hall says the pipeline is not a big one but it will, at the end of the day, have benefits for local industry.
