Sting Ranked First In Canadian Hockey League

The Sarnia Sting just keep on rolling, with a 12-1-0-0 start to the OHL season.

Winners of 11 straight games, the team is now ranked number one in all of Canada in the latest Canadian Hockey League Top-10 Rankings released on Wednesday.

Sarnia is coming off a three win weekend, with victories in North Bay, Sudbury and Barrie. Their only loss of the season came at the hands of the Kitchener Rangers in the second game of the campaign.

Jordan Kyrou leads the team with 22 points in 11 games played. Adam Ruzicka, and Brady Hinz have potted 10 goals each and there are nine players with double digit points.

Goalie Justin Fazio has a 9-1 record with a 2.37 GAA and .933 save percentage. Over the weekend, he broke Patrick Desrochers' franchise wins record with his 64th career OHL victory.

As a team, Sarnia leads the OHL with 71 goals scored and have allowed a league-low 31 against.

The Sting return home for a pair of games this weekend. The Sault Greyhounds visit on Friday night, and the Flint Firebirds are in town Sunday afternoon.
