A Sarnia man is charged in connection with a drug trafficking investigation.
Members of the Sarnia Police Service Vice Unit arrested a 24-year-old man for possession for the purpose of trafficking Thursday afternoon, in the 200 block of Finch Dr.
Constable John Sottosanti says a brass knuckle fighting knife was found during a search of the suspect's vehicle.
He says officers executed a search warrant later that evening at the suspect's Davis St. home. Officers seized over 110 g of cocaine with an estimated street value of $11,000, over $5,700 in cash and a small amount of cannabis marijuana.
"The 24-year-old accused is now facing the following charges: possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking - mainly cocaine, possession of a controlled substance - mainly marijuana, unauthorized possession of a weapon, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose," says Sottosanti.
The accused was being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
