Inn Launches New Fall Fundraiser

The Inn of the Good Shepherd has added a new fall fundraiser, in an effort to help stock their shelves for the busy winter.

The Dante Club will host the inaugural Community Brown Bag Lunch from 11am until 1:30pm on Thursday, October 5.

Operations Manager Adelle Richards says people can purchase a brown bag to fill with a sandwich, fresh fruit, cookies and a cold drink.

Richards says the money raised will help build their supplies heading into a busy time of year.

"They can come in get their brown bag lunch, they pick their sandwich, away they go back to work or they can sit and enjoy their lunch at the Dante Club," says Richards. "That $10 of course will offset some of our expenses, the remaining fundraising monies will go towards food for the Inn of the Good Shepherd."

The event is held in conjunction with the Inn's annual brown paper bag food drive.

Richards says they feed about 2,000 people go through about 40,000 lbs of food a month.
