UPDATE: New Temperature Record Set As Heat Warning Continues

The heat warning for Sarnia-Lambton and most of southern Ontario remains in effect.

The mercury climbed to 32.3 C (90F) at Chris Hadfield Airport Sunday, snapping the previous record high of 30.8 (86F) set in 2007. Saturday's 32.1 C (90F) shattered the previous record high of 28.8 (82F) set in 2004. Sarnia also set a record high temperature of 30.4 (86F) on Friday. Hot and humid conditions will continue Monday and Tuesday. Mostly sunny skies will allow daytime temperatures to reach the low thirties, with humidex values approaching forty.

With today's heat and humidity possible high levels of air pollutuion are expected. A cold front is expected to move across the province through the day Wednesday bringing cooler temperatures for the remainder of the week.
