Busy Day For Pinery Provincial Park

Ontario Parks including the Pinery in Lambton Shores are free to visit on Wednesday.

Resource Management Group Leader Tanya Berkers says it's part of the 30 by 30 Challenge where residents are encouraged to spend 30 minutes outdoors each day for 30 days.

"Normally to get into the Pinery it's $17 per vehicle but that fee is being waived, so that gives you access to the beaches and all of our hiking trails," says Berkers. "There are still fees to rent any of our equipment like canoes and kayaks but you have access to the park for free."

She says about 750,000 people visit the Pinery each year.

Pinery Provincial Park is open until 10pm.
