Murder Charge Withdrawn In Pike Case

A murder charge against a Sarnia man in connection with the March 2016 death of Jonathan Pike has been withdrawn.

City police confirm 46-year-old Warren Williams was released from custody this week.

The Crown is not providing a reason for withdrawing the charge, with its case still proceeding against Lee Joseph Dion.

A preliminary hearing for the 31-year-old Sarnia man has been adjourned until September 11.

Dion and Williams were arrested in June of last year and charged with murder in the death of Pike.

The body of the 26-year-old Sarnia man was found March 25, 2016 in a wooded area west of Tashmoo Ave.

A charge of accessory after the fact to murder against 28-year-old Victoria Burridge of Sarnia was withdrawn in April.
