Sarnia's Global Donuts & Deli has made the list of top 50 bakeries in Canada.
Owner Gus Pantazis says Dawn Foods has named the local eatery as one of Canada's Favourite Bakeries.
He says the local bakery was recognized in part because they do things the old fashioned way.
"We do things our own way, we do not follow the crowd and we bake things the old fashioned way and that's what has made us successful," says Pantazis. "We got noted because of the volumes we were doing, sales people brought it up to the attention of the magazine when they were asking about who should be recognized as a favourite and they just said check out these guys because they're doing fantastic for a Ma-n-Pa shop in little old Sarnia."
Global Donuts & Deli has been in business in Sarnia for 35 years.
