Sarnia police say a body pulled from the St. Clair river near Stag Island Wednesday is that of a missing city man.
Police say the body of 69-year-old Edward Alway was recovered mid-afternoon by the OPP and Coast Guard with help from Point Edward Fire and Rescue and Shell Refinery staff.
He was reported missing by his family in April.
His vehicle, a red pickup truck, was found parked in the parking lot to the north of the water treatment plant at the mouth of the St. Clair River.
Police say pending any further results from the post mortem exam, there's nothing suspicious about his death.
