A heat warning has been issued for Lambton County.
Lambton Public Health says Environment and Climate Change Canada issued the alert with hot, humid weather expected to build over the weekend.
The warning will remain in effect for at least two days.
The medical officer of health says elderly, very young and people with chronic illnesses are at higher risk of heat-related illness.
He adds, however, that anyone can be affected if they participate in strenuous activities and do not take precautions.
We're advised to drink plenty of fluids, especially water, seek cooler or air conditioned spaces and avoid strenuous activities between 11am and 3pm when the sun's rays are the strongest.
