A strike by unionized workers with the Canadian Hearing Society that began March 6 is over after ratification of a new contract Friday.
The 227 workers at 24 C-H-S offices in Ontario, including Sarnia, Windsor, Chatham-Kent and London, will be back on the job Monday.
The collective agreement includes retroactive wage increases and a short-term disability program that provides employees with income protection in the event of an unforeseen injury or illness.
