As many as 200 senior business and policy leaders from across the province will visit Sarnia-Lambton in May.
The Ontario Chamber of Commerce annual general meeting is being held May 4-6 at Pt. Edward's Holiday Inn.
Sarnia-Lambton Chamber of Commerce CEO Shirley de Silva says special events near the waterfront and downtown Sarnia are also planned.
"There's the formal part of the agenda where they'll be meeting to have the membership agree on resolutions that would be brought forward for advocacy through the network," says de Silva. "The Sarnia chamber will also be taking delegates to a couple of different events in the community and showcasing our community so that they get to learn a little bit more about Sarnia and hopefully come back."
She says sponsor displays will showcase different aspects of the community.
For instance, the City of Sarnia and Sarnia Lambton Industrial Alliance are planning a display to feature the proposed heavy haul corridor project and Sarnia Harbour.
