St. Clair High School History On Display

Over 50 years of memorabilia will be on display Wednesday evening at the former St. Clair Secondary School.

The Great Lakes Secondary School History and Memorabilia Committee is hosting a special viewing of different school artifacts and pictures.

Teacher Ann Oreskovich says they've been sorting through the memorabilia for several months and while the most significant items will be placed on display in the new school, there's lots left over.

Oreskovich says the items are available for purchase for a small $5 donation.

"There are a lot of trophies and plaques, over 50 years worth and a lot of awards, framed photographs and most of them have the names of the people in the photograph, uniforms representing all different sports over the years, school spirit items, pom-poms, things like that," says Oreskovich.

The viewing is being held at the former St. Clair site on Murphy Rd. from 5pm to 7pm.

She says they will repeat the process of cataloguing memorabilia at the former SCITS site and have a similar event in the future.
