New United Way Executive Announced

A new executive was announced at the United Way of Sarnia-Lambton's 60th annual general meeting Tuesday.

Jason Killingsworth will serve as president, John Girard, first vice president and Al McChesney, second vice-president.

Longtime fundraising campaign chair Richard Kelch is stepping down but remains a member of the board of directors.

The 2017 campaign chair and fundraising goal have not yet been announced.

The 2016 campaign surpassed its $2-million goal by about $9,000.

Outgoing president Kathy Sitter remains on the board.

"Our promise to invest funds where they are needed most continues to hold true in our community," says Sitter. "We are investing resources where they are having the greatest impact on youth, families and seniors."
