Sarnia police have arrested a 30-year-old man in connection with the theft of a vehicle from a local residence.
Officers were called Thursday, after someone had broken into a home in the 800-block of London Rd., stole the keys to the car and drove off.
Around 9:45pm the following night, police were notified the stolen vehicle was seen travelling west on London Rd.
Police stopped it in a parking lot on George St. and arrested the driver without incident.
William Clayton Stevens is charged with theft of a motor vehicle, possession of stolen property, driving while disqualified and breach of probation.
He remained in police custody pending a bail hearing.
