Double-digit temperatures are forecast as we head into the long Family Day weekend.
Environment Canada meteorologist Geoff Coulson says the mercury in Sarnia-Lambton will rise to near record values.
"It certainly is a rapid turnaround in temperature," said Coulson. "We're going from near seasonal temperatures to temperatures way above where they should be. A high of 12 C forecast for Saturday, not too far off the record for that date in history, which is 13.3 C set back in 1949."
A high of 9 C (48 F) is forecast for Family Day Monday and temperatures near 10 C are expected through most of next week.
The normal high for this time of year in Sarnia is 0 C (32 F).
